How to Change Your Screen Resolution in Windows XP..
- Right click on an empty area of the desktop (i.e. do not right click on top of any open browsers, windows, files etc)
- Left click “Properties”
- A new window will appear, select the last tab named “Settings”
- Slide the screen resolution bar left one notch
- Left click on “Apply”
- Review changes, if the sizing suits, then click on “Ok” and then “Yes”
- If the sizing does not suit, click Yes” then keep moving the resolution slide bar left until you find a suitable sizing, then click “Ok” then “Yes” again
Note: If after applying a resolution setting, your screen remains blank for a little while, do not press any keys or touch the mouse, your display will return to the last working resolution automatically in 30 seconds. This may occur if a selected resolution is not compatible with your computer monitor
